Sharath Parvathavani

A versatile storyteller with a career spanning multiple creative fields, Sharath Parvathavani brings an extraordinary blend of global education, hands-on experience, and creative vision. After earning a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Wright State University, USA, Sharath transitioned from a decade-long corporate career to the world of storytelling, driven by a passion for writing. He honed his craft at the New York Film Academy, earning a diploma in Screenwriting, which set the stage for his creative journey.

Sharath’s debut screenplay led to the Indie Hindi film "Coffee Bloom" (2015), which premiered at MAMI, Mumbai, and was featured in the NFDC Bazaar. His screenwriting portfolio includes acclaimed projects like Aa Eradu Varshagalu (2017), By Mistake (2022), and upcoming films such as Sees Kaddi and Jimmy. His work spans feature films, web series, TV serials, advertisements, and even subtitling international documentaries.

In the realm of theatre, Sharath has written and directed numerous plays, including Vaave, The Bet, and Ondu Vilaya Kathe, several of which have won awards at prestigious festivals. As the co-founder of YouAndMe Theatre, Sharath has organized state-wide festivals and crafted impactful corporate training modules. His teaching experience extends to institutions like Jyoti Nivas College, IIM Bangalore, and IISc Bangalore, where he has designed courses on scriptwriting, theatre, and storytelling for various audiences.

Sharath’s dedication to creative development includes co-founding VYOMA, a black box performance space in Bangalore, where he served as Creative Director until 2022. He has also contributed to NGO campaigns, co-directed school mega-productions, and conducted workshops blending theatre with leadership and decision-making.
