DAY 09
Theatre Music
The day began with a grounding exercise and a full-body warm-up led by Anil. Though shorter than the previous day’s, this 20-minute session was highly effective, energizing participants from head to toe.
Rajguru Hoskote Sir conducted a special session on theater music, emphasizing the importance of voice pitch and its variations. He demonstrated techniques for modulating pitch across different scales, enhancing participants’ vocal versatility. The session included practical training with the theater song "Sharanu Sharanu Bandevo Shri Benaka," where participants practiced adapting their voices to match the song’s rhythm and intensity.
After a brief break, Shreedhar Sir led participants through four chapters of recitation, further developing their vocal skills and deepening their familiarity with the material.
Returning to theater music, Rajguru Sir explored the intricate relationship between music and acting, illustrating how the two are deeply connected on stage. He introduced the powerful song "Prana Vittala" from the play Theru, explaining its creative significance as an energizing opener. Participants also received a taste of the epic songs from Shastra Parva, each bringing vivid emotions and narratives to life through music.
The entire group was captivated by Rajguru Sir’s music, fully immersed in the beauty and depth of theater melodies.
