DAY 07

Character Improvisation

The day began with a grounding exercise and a quick warm-up, focusing on subtle body movements to energize participants without overexertion.

Shreedhar Sir led the voice exercise, guiding the team through a recitation of slokas. The group displayed impressive synchronization and harmony, reflecting a noticeable improvement in their collective chanting.

Ganesh Shankar began the character improvisation session earlier than usual, introducing a lively activity where participants mimicked bus-like movements to music, adding a fun and energetic start. He then led a creative prop exercise: each participant selected two items and reimagined their use—such as transforming a cricket bat into a gun or a water pot into boxing gloves.

Following this, the pre-formed teams continued their character development. Under Ganesh’s guidance, they refined their characters by adjusting elements like mindset, age, and behavior to create more authentic portrayals. Each team worked through two levels of refinement, fine-tuning specific mannerisms to align with their assigned location and scenario.

The session concluded with Ganesh addressing questions and leading a feedback discussion, helping participants gain clarity and confidence in their character work.
