On February 9, 2023, Vijaya College, Jayanagar presented the play Sevanti Prasanga at the Sourabha 2023 State Level Inter College Theatre Competitions, organized by Rangasourabha in collaboration with Bharata Yatra Kendra. Directed by Vijay Kashyap K S and written by Ranga Vilasa, this Kannada adaptation of Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion focuses on themes of transformation, societal expectations, and identity.

The plot follows Sevanti, a humble balloon seller, who undergoes speech and manner training under the guidance of Phonetics Professor Bhargava Shastry. Through months of rigorous instruction, Sevanti’s transformation is so profound that she earns the title of "Miss Sevanti." However, this success brings forth deeper questions about control, creation, and personal autonomy. The play delves into themes of whether Sevanti is merely molded by the professor to fit societal ideals, or if she maintains her individuality. It challenges the audience to reflect on societal norms, beauty standards, and the power dynamics between men and women
