On February 4, 2020, CMS Jain University showcased the play Smashana Kurukshetra at the Sourabha 2020 State Level Intercollege Theatre Competition. Directed by Dr. Hemalatha B S and written by the legendary Kannada writer Kuvempu, this play is a satirical commentary on human greed and hypocrisy. Set in a cremation ground, the play depicts a philosophical debate between characters representing different walks of life, unraveling the futility of materialistic pursuits.
