On February 4, 2020, PES College, Hanumantha Nagar performed the play Raavi Nadiya Dandeyalli at the Sourabha 2020 State Level Intercollege Theatre Competition. Directed by Kali Prasad and adapted into Kannada by Dr. Tippeswamy, the play is based on the original Urdu work by Asghar Wajahat. Set during the tumultuous time of the Partition of India, the story takes place on the banks of the Ravi River, exploring the impact of the division on human relationships and communities. The narrative focuses on themes of communal harmony, depicting the hardships, violence, and emotional struggles faced by individuals during the Partition, while sending a message of peace and reconciliation. The play's powerful portrayal of these events left a lasting impression on the audience, emphasizing the futility of hatred and the need for unity in divided times​
