On February 7, 2020, Vijaya PRM College, T Narsipura performed the play Bombat Beechi at the Sourabha 2020 State Level Intercollege Theatre Competition, directed by Vinod Ranga and written by Belur Ramamurthy. The play is a tribute to the legendary Kannada humorist Beechi (also known as Rayasam Bheemasena Rao), who was known for his witty and satirical writing. Bombat Beechi portrays various humorous anecdotes from Beechi’s life and works, reflecting his unique ability to use humor to critique society, politics, and human nature.
