On February 3, 2020, BMS College of Commerce and Management presented the play Ascharya Choodamani at the Sourabha 2020 State Level Intercollege Theatre Competition. Directed by Anusha Poornan S, the play was originally written by the ancient Sanskrit playwright Shaktibhadra. Ascharya Choodamani is a classic Sanskrit drama that revolves around the Ramayana, particularly focusing on the episode where Hanuman discovers Sita in Lanka. The play is a dramatic retelling of Hanuman's heroism and Sita's enduring strength and virtue. This intense portrayal of the epic event highlights themes of loyalty, devotion, and the triumph of good over evil, engaging the audience with its powerful narrative and deep cultural significance.
