On February 3, 2020, National College, Basavanagudi performed the play Agnivarna at Sourabha 2020, a prestigious State Level Intercollege Theatre Competition. The event was organized by Rangasourabha in collaboration with Bharath Yatra Kendra. Directed by Surya Sarthi, the play was written by the acclaimed Kannada playwright H. S. Venkatesh Murthy. As part of the competitive atmosphere, colleges from across Karnataka showcased their theatrical talents, engaging audiences with performances that were both culturally rich and socially relevant.
