Ranga sourabha’s theatrical debut was a play named Adhorakthi written by Suresh Varthur and directed by Ravi Prashanth, Music was composed by Vinod panna. The Story revolves round the beautiful province of Neelapuri led by their princess Neelatha. The Princess who is in her teens would have surrendered her heart to great sculpture Nishama. The entire province was enjoying the good fortunes while the couple were lost in their own world, until Meghana , the prince of Meghapura set his foot. The intension of the prince was to conquer Neelapuri until he sighted Neelatha and fell in love with her not knowing her relationship with Nishama. The three meet on the battle ground where Meghana kills Nishama but eventually suffers in guilt and flees leaving behind all his comforts and kingdom. Meghana after several years returns to Neelapuri and the entire play runs in the memory lane of the old prince. He comes to Neelapuri to find peace but instead finds his dream girl in a mentally imbalanced state. The play ends with a message of what greed can do even to a successful king like Meghana.
